The Dive

It's over you, on top of you, all around you. It's just water but it's more than that, because you've been down there, you know where it leads. You know what waits for you under the water.
It's quiet under there. The world narrows down to your mind, your breath, and the nature that surrounds you. Free diving requires calmness, but calmness is exactly what you find beneath the waves.
It's simpler under there. You have no gear. You have no vehicle. You have no spreadsheets. It's just you and the water, with no intermediaries between yourself and the direct experience.
It's like a parallel dimension. Like stepping through a portal. It's not just about what you see or how you move — how you drift, how you float — but how it feels under there.
It's almost like flying. There's nothing holding you up, and no gravity forcing you down. You're suspended over the depths.
The natives here are fish, seaweed, plankton, coral. They are older than you. They have been here since before human beings were even thought of.
But you're native here too. Native for as long as your breath can last. Then you surface and go back down again. A little longer this time.
Because it's better under there. Better underwater.
The Inspiration Behind 'Better Under Water'
We wanted to capture and bottle this feeling, the value one can get from time spent under the waves. We wanted to celebrate all those who know how to inhale deep and dive.
You can't capture this feeling, really, of course. You can't bottle it. But you can represent it, for yourself and for those who know what it means, know how it feels to dive.
Alright, so it's just a long sleeve tee shirt. But we put our passions into designing looks that, well, we'd wear on our way to a dive. Take a look at the "Better Under Water" long sleeve tee.
